Everyone could use a little practical guidance from time to time, and this is especially true of students attempting to begin navigating the adult world. My experience with students at this life stage has run the gamut from seeking a first part-time job through managing mid-career professional decisions, and from initiating the what-do-I-want-to-do conversation through exploring options in graduate school. My students may be behind the curve (sometimes way behind), or on track, or even advanced but still seeking an edge. Having considerable experience in multiple roles (including fulltime university lecturer and employer of masters and doctorate holding professionals), my efforts as a support and guide have proved effective. These are critical life-determining choices which are being addressed. It is a delight and a privilege to be a part of seeing them explored and acted upon.
